Everyday iron support, made simple.*

Vital Iron™ is a daily iron supplement from Health Fact, made to help you meet your iron needs without overcomplicating your routine.

Iron is essential for making hemoglobin, the protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen around your body. It also plays a role in normal energy levels and immune function.* Many people need more iron than their diet provides, including menstruating women, people who eat little or no meat, and those who train hard.

60 capsules / 2 per day / 30-day supply

How to take

Take Vital Iron with or without food, ideally at least 30 minutes away from tea and coffee. There’s no need to pair it with vitamin C as ferritin iron does not require this for absorption. We included it in the formula, though, for its general health-supportive and antioxidant qualities.

What’s inside

Organic peas

Our iron comes from organic peas as ferritin iron, iron that’s naturally held inside a protein shell. It’s absorbed gradually at the gut wall, which makes it gentle on your stomach.*

Green peas

Sesame seeds

Sesame seeds bring natural copper, a mineral your body needs to transport iron and deliver it to where it’s used.*

Sesame seeds

Carrot

Carrot provides beta-carotene, which your body converts into vitamin A. Vitamin A helps your body release and use its stored iron.*

Carrots

Acerola

Acerola cherry is one of the richest natural sources of vitamin C, which supports normal iron metabolism and provides antioxidant support.*

Acerola cherries

Kiwifruit

Kiwifruit adds prebiotic support for a healthy gut, the place where nutrient absorption happens.*

Five years. One breakthrough formula.

Vital Iron™ took years of research and product development to get right. After many ingredient trials that didn’t make the cut, we found ferritin iron from organic peas: a food-sourced iron that’s potent, yet gentle on the gut.*

We paired it with natural copper, beta-carotene, vitamin C and kiwifruit, so your body has what it needs to absorb and use the iron it gets.*

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is Vital Iron for?

Adults, teenagers and children aged 1 and up who want to support their iron intake, especially people with higher iron needs, such as menstruating or pregnant women, people who eat little or no meat, and those who exercise intensely. See “How to take” for the suggested daily amount by life stage. If you’re not sure whether you need extra iron, ask your healthcare provider.

Do I need a blood test before taking iron?

A blood test ordered by your healthcare provider is the most reliable way to know your iron status and how much you need. Taking more iron than your body needs isn’t helpful and can be harmful, so it’s worth checking your levels and retesting while you supplement.

When is the best time to take it?

Vital Iron can be taken with or without food. Iron is generally better absorbed when it isn’t taken together with coffee, tea or calcium-rich foods, so take it at least 30 minutes apart from tea and coffee.

Can I take it if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?

Iron needs increase during pregnancy, and the suggested use during pregnancy is 2–3 capsules daily. As with any supplement, check with your healthcare provider before starting while pregnant or breastfeeding.

Can I take Vital Iron with my medication?

Iron can interact with some medications, including certain thyroid medications and antibiotics. Check with your doctor or pharmacist before adding Vital Iron to your routine.

Who shouldn’t take Vital Iron?

Don’t take Vital Iron if you have hemochromatosis or another condition associated with iron overload. Keep it out of reach of children.

How long until I notice a difference?

It depends on your starting iron levels. Rebuilding iron stores usually takes consistent daily use over several weeks to a few months. Your healthcare provider can recheck your levels to see how you’re progressing.
